It does it for me every time. I've told Grant I want it played at my funeral and I want the whole congregation to do the Robbie twirl. He thinks I've lost my mind.
Congratulations on the abundance of checks on your April To Do list, Jo! As for anything not yet completed, you've gotta save something for May. Besides, April isn't even finished yet! :D Those Orange Chocolate Chip Shortbreads look divine! <3
What a fabulous month, Jo and I'm surprised you ticked off so many things AND did a huge tour of the UK. I loved following your travels and it has made me feel excited about our trip in August/September. I laughed at your quote from Grant '“we were paying 2 quid for petrol and £7 for a pint” I can just see him saying that and your reply as well. We will come home from UK after 5.5 weeks and then have a week's break before going to Norfolk Island for 5 nights. If you needed rest from jet lag it's not looking good for Mike and I but you only live once right?? Have a lovely time in Vietnam and thanks for co-hosting WBOYC? x
Grant wasn't as bad as me, but he sleeps on the plane. He was right as rain by Monday. I, however, went out with the girls on Saturday night after having had 3 hours sleep and then wondered why I was overtired.
Wow to that biscuit recipe. My daughter is a fan of Terry’s dark chocolate orange….but hey, I would have to be patient and cream the butter and sugar correctly wouldn’t I? Sigh. Probably not enough motivation for me to do that. Great catch up. Denyse x
Jo, Congrats on the many green checks on your list! The food at Sarah's birthday and your cookies look delicious. I added my link to the linky. Thank you for hosting #WBOYC. Safe travels!
What an interesting month you have had Jo. Yes, autumn is the best time of the year, even though it’s still very dry here in the west. I bought all three of your Philly Barker books and am hanging out for a fourth (I do hope you’re planning on writing another one!)
My goodness! You exhaust me and at the same time, I feel extraordinarily guilty! I have to write 40,000 more words to finish the novel to get it off to my editor for the butchering! It's essentially when I find out if there's a story there at all.
I think you're doing brilliantly!
Funnily I had the RWA webiste open two nights ago as I try to decide which component(s) to attend.
Will HAVE to make those delish shortbreads after we've finished the ANZAC's.
I'm just doing the core conference, but very much looking forward to looking around Hobart - I've booked a day before and after to wander about on my own. I'll need that after peopling for a few days. Good luck with those 40,000 words!
I'm not surprised you haven't ticked off all that you wanted to in April. You were so busy. I laugh every time I hear the name of your Tour of England. I've loved following your adventures, and you have more to look forward to in Vietname. Enjoy!
You lead such an interesting and diverse life Jo - and you take so many pictures of it! When I went to write about my week over Easter that was just lovely, I found I had maybe six photos on my phone - I really need to up my game in that area (but probably won't). Glad to see you still managed to tick quite a few boxes - and know how to find the right icons to use (something else I'm fairly useless at!) :).... non-icon smiley face....
Woah what a monthly update Jo!!!! You've been and done so much and with a week of jetlag added in. So good to read your update and well done on walking 500 miles (and 500 more). We've been out to the dawn Service this morning and I'm now making ANZAC biscuits as we speak. I can multitask with the best of them! Well done on your adulting list, with mainly green ticks and I know you'll get to the other things in your own time. Have a great month ahead and thanks for being such a stunning co-host x
And I've just watched the clip of Robbie singing 'I did it My Way' and have teared up!!!! So moving. Thanks for the link.
It does it for me every time. I've told Grant I want it played at my funeral and I want the whole congregation to do the Robbie twirl. He thinks I've lost my mind.
I was thinking along the same lines Jo, as a funeral song I mean.

Project Excess Baggage is dragging behind - possibly because I know I'm going away again in a fortnight. Hey ho and all that.

I love how you are using terms like "adulting" and "out & abouting" and am definitely stealing them to reuse.
I really don’t know how you manage to pack so much in!

Oh my goodness, Kate. Thank you so much! Yes, there will be a fourth... I think I've got the beginning of an idea...

If you're up for it, a quiet coffee somewhere off-campus might be nice. But I get the whole peopling thing...
Absolutely. I'm looking forward to catching up with you.

Thanks Jennifer. While I've been to Vietnam before it will be an entirely different experience with Sarah.

I've always been a mad photographer... I love the images.

I'm hoping the second 500 miles will get ticked off at the beginning of July... Then I'll walk another 500.
