I love brussels sprouts and always have. I am a big brassica fan:=) I also love Nigel Slater and have put the christmas chronicles on hold at the library. Hopefully it will turn up soon. Hope your year is going well.

cheers

Brussell sprouts(yum) have always ruled in our house the kids and all (bar one) who now loves them...It was all to do with them getting the first frost as my mother used to say...A lovely array of dishes for January :)

I have been making fresh bread once a week to go with our soups too. It's perfect this time of year when it's so cold out here.

The beef and broccoli would work in this household - beef for him and broccoli for me :-)

I love brussel sprouts. Not something we ever had growing up and the first time as an adult I was yuk. Then we had them as an appy in a restaurant one time and they were delicious. No looking back! Your bread looks divine. I have been baking our bread for 40+ years and it is just the best. I want to try making sausage rolls -0 yours are interesting being that big. I also want to try making a Cornish pastie - have you tried making one of those?
